Shinedoe has released a new four-track EP titled ‘GEMS’, marking her tenth outing on her own MTM (Music That Moves) imprint.
Known for her focused, minimal approach to techno, Shinedoe delivers a set of hypnotic tools built from refined atmospheres, deep basslines, and crisp drum programming. ‘Stand Up’ opens the release with taut percussion and a bass motif that plays more like a meditative mantra than a hook. Its ‘Rework’ strips things back, softening the low-end to let the pulse breathe deeper.
On the B-side, ‘Gold’ pushes into peak-time territory with a powerful rhythm section that’s already made an impact at Berghain. Closing the release, ‘Alkebulan’ threads ancestral elements into a rolling structure, referencing the ancient name for Africa while grounding the track in both personal history and sonic depth.
