Thaddeus X debuts on Lucidflow with his new three-track EP ‘Ascending,’ now available through the Berlin-based imprint.
A reflection of his Caribbean roots and experimental leanings, ‘Ascending’ reveals Thaddeus X’s distinctive style—a blend of deep house, techno, and psychedelic warmth. Built in close collaboration with producer Iván Smoka, the release channels spontaneity through a lens of detailed production, resulting in a work that feels both instinctive and carefully honed.
The EP follows the artist’s recent appearance on Mobilee Records with ‘Avril,’ signaling a rising trajectory for the artist. Here, tracks like ‘Colder’ and ‘E Last E’ explore cooler tonal spaces and hypnotic grooves, while the title cut ‘Ascending’ culminates the trip in a state of radiant elevation.
