In a special live dedication to the jazz poet and music legend Gil Scott-Heron, internationally acclaimed keyboardist, composer and arranger Kim Jordan will present a live rendition of his music at London’s The Jazz Café.
Gil Scott-Heron’s musical director for over 30 years until his death in 2011, no one is better positioned to pay tribute to one of music’s most iconic figures than Kim. A gifted musician in her own right, her magistral career has seen her performing alongside greats such as Lonnie Liston Smith, Common, Stevie Wonder and Dianna Reeves.
Her live tribute to Gil Scott-Heron coincides with the promotion of her latest project “Tribute to Gil – A Multimedia Expose”, which tells Gil’s story from her own unique perspective as long-time collaborator and friend.
The Revolution will be Live: Kim Jordan plays Gil Scott-Heron will take place May 27th at The Jazz Cafe, London. For more info and tickets click here.
