American-French producer MarMar has released his latest EP ‘The Other Side’, out now across all streaming platforms. The seven-track project marks a creative rebirth for the artist, blending electronic, ambient, and cinematic influences into a cohesive, deeply personal narrative.
Following the success of recent singles ‘Sobers Me’, ‘Missing Me’, and ‘You’re My One (feat. Arnii)’, ‘The Other Side’ introduces four new compositions: the atmospheric interlude ‘Shadrach’, the uplifting ‘Cloud World’, the contemplative ‘England’, and the EP’s emotional centerpiece, ‘Walking on Water’, a collaborative track with UK vocalist SMOORIBA.
Written during an overnight bus journey from London to France, ‘Walking on Water’ emerged from an unexpected moment of inspiration as MarMar crossed the English Channel. “That moment hit me,” he explains. “It reminded me that beauty can show up in the most unexpected places. The song is about trust and surrender—about choosing to find beauty even when things are stormy.”
With this EP, MarMar steps into a new chapter, having parted ways with previous label obligations to embrace full creative freedom. “The Other Side represents me rediscovering myself,” he says, “here on the other side of the world.”
