Mary Droppinz has released her debut track on Hard Recs. Titled ‘GiGi,’ the song blends breakbeat and baile funk influences.
‘GiGi’ features a rich tapestry of sounds, including healing instruments, tribal textures, and exotic percussion, all underpinned by crisp, snappy drums. Vocal chops weave through the composition, adding energy and drive. The production is elevated by intricate bass work that evolves throughout the track, shifting from deep and cavernous to bouncy and thunderous.
Describing her creation, Droppinz explains, “‘GiGi’ is an ancestral quest connecting to your deeper roots—a special, raw, organic, grass-fed, yummy, minimal, experimental track.”
Los Angeles-based producer, Mary Droppinz is known for her genre-defying style that resonates with diverse audiences. She’s been making waves on the festival circuit and has caught the attention of industry giants like Skrillex and REZZ.
Beyond her solo work, Droppinz actively promotes inclusivity in the electronic music community. She recently contributed to the ‘FEMME HOUSE Vol. 2’ compilation on Insomniac Records, a project showcasing female-identifying and non-binary producers.
