Masters At Work relaunch their label and announce their first single in over 20 years

MAW Records is going digital.

Masters At Work have announced today that they are officially relaunching their MAW Records label in digital format. This means the entire digital catalog with remastered songs and some unreleased remixes is now available on all digital platforms. In addition, the veteran pair have revealed that in April they will release their first single in more than two decades, a song titled ‘Mattel’.

MAW Records and its founders have been responsible for some of house music’s most recognizable classics. Tracks like ‘The Bounce’ by KenLou and ‘To Be In Love’ by MAW & India have served to define key moments in the history of the genre. These tracks and the rest of the label’s catalog are available in digital format as of today.

Additionally, the pair have noted that several classic Masters At Work releases have been specially remastered for the re-release, including ‘Voices In My Mind’ by Voices, KenLou’s ‘Bangin’ Early Theme’, and ‘Like A Butterfly (You Send Me)’ by MAW and Patti Austin. In addition, a series of previously unreleased versions of various tracks are also available. Some of these have not been revealed, so that their most staunch followers rummage through the catalog in order to find them.

Finally, ‘Mattel’ is the title of the new single from the North American pair and it takes its name from one of their favorite drum machines, which is used to produce the rhythm of the song that will be out in a few days. It will be the first single in a series of new releases that Masters At Work have prepared to share throughout 2021 and next year as well.

Listen to a preview of ‘Mattel’ below.
