Matthew Dear debuted an art exhibition at Spot Lite Detroit this past April 20th, 2023. Titled ‘Matthew Dear: moving color’, the exhibition will run until June 10th.
Featuring paintings that showcase Matthew Dear’s love of color and image, ‘Matthew Dear: moving color’ was ignited by rediscovering his passion for the craft after coloring with his own children. His distinctive combination of hue, form, and optimistic paramnesia, all rooted in his personal memories, induces feelings of calm and wonder in those who view it.
This is the first time the artist has shared his visual art in public, and all of the works will be up for sale.
