Montreal-based DJ and producer Maxvei returns to Adesso Music with his latest release, ‘Mad Thing’, out now via Junior Jack’s imprint.
Driven by layers of intricate percussion and deep rolling grooves, ‘Mad Thing’ delivers a peak-time Afro house sound. A commanding vocal adds intensity to the mix, creating a hands-in-the-air dynamic while maintaining the track’s organic pulse.
Emerging from Montreal’s underground scene in the mid-2000s, Maxvei’s work blends Afro house, tribal, and deep house influences. His previous releases have landed on labels such as Made In Miami, Inward Records, and Adesso Music.
‘Mad Thing’ follows Maxvei’s 2023 breakout single ‘Get Back’, which drew support from names like Bob Sinclar, Joseph Capriati, Claptone, MK, and EDX, becoming a fixture across the global club circuit.
