UK producer Midland recently announced his 13-track LP debut album, ‘Fragments Of Us’, which will be released via his Graded label on October 4th, 2024. The lead single ‘Never Enough’ has been released.
‘Never Enough’ showcases the producer’s versatility, featuring Midland’s own vocoder-enhanced vocals. The track draws inspiration from diverse genres—disco, dub, and kosmische—offering a preview of the album’s eclectic sound palette.
‘Fragments Of Us’ features contributions from influential figures including filmmaker and educator Marlon Riggs, painter and photographer David Wojnarowicz, and Luke Howard of Horse Meat Disco fame. This collaborative approach promises a multifaceted listening experience. The album cover, showcasing a photograph by Midland’s brother Dom Agius, adds a personal touch to this project.
Reflecting on the album’s essence, Midland shared, “‘Fragments Of Us’ is at its core my homage to and celebration of the gift of otherness and the spaces and voices that have helped along the way.”
