Australian duo Midnight Pool Party continue their run of upbeat disco-pop releases with ‘OUTTA YOUR MIND’, a bright and defiant new single that channels frustration into feel-good energy.
Following recent singles like ‘FIDELITY’, ‘WHAT AM I GONNA DO?’, and ‘NEVER GONNA GIVE UP’, the pair return with a track built for dancing away a rough week. “The song’s basically about having a shitty week at work and just wanting to hang out with your friends and not needing attention from anyone else,” they share. “It’s very much a ‘I’m with my friends, leave us alone’ kinda vibe.”
Written in the heat of the moment, the track came together quickly. “I actually wrote this one night after a stressful week at work,” they add. “I just needed to write something carefree. The next time Ollie came over, we arranged it in under an hour, and we just knew it had to be the next single.”
