Mija, the DJ and producer renowned for her innovative sounds, has released a new single titled ‘A Woman Comes Into The Room.’ The song is the latest release from the artist’s upcoming ‘No Rules’ EP, which is being released piece by piece leading up to her fall ‘No Rules’ tour.
“‘A Woman Comes Into The Room’ is a poem by 77-year-old female author Alice Notely that I love. I sampled it in this new club track and have been playing it live. I was aiming for a classic house sound but also wanted it to be grittier and more fun to play in smaller, dark spaces. I reached out to Alice by email, and she kindly let me use her voice recording,” Mija commented.
Mija has also announced a fall tour that will take her to various cities across the United States and Canada. The tour kicks off on September 28th at Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Perris, California, and concludes on November 22nd at Nightclub in Seattle, Washington.
