Celebrating some of dance music’s brightest stars.
London institution Ministry of Sound has announced it plans to introduce its new concept series ‘Sovereign’, starting next month. According to the brand, ‘Sovereign’ was created to celebrate electronic dance music’s most prominent names.
Each event is intended to celebrate one artist who has made a spectacular contribution to electronic music during their career, gifting each with a “one-of-a-kind Sovereign ring” before their all-night headline set.
The first scheduled event will honor legendary Welsh icon, Sasha. “Our debut event, and the recipient of ring number 001, will be progressive house hero, Sasha,” announced MoS. “With a career spanning decades, as both a solo artist and in collaboration with John Digweed, Sasha was the original superstar DJ.”
While the first event is set to take place on November 12th, 2022, MoS has not yet revealed the complete schedule of ‘Sovereign’ events.
