Moby, the electronic musician, producer, and activist based in New York City, has just released a new soulful track and music video titled ‘Should Sleep,’ featuring J.P. Bimeni.
The single, which was released today, pays tribute to the underground dance music scene that rocked New York City in the 1980s. The track’s funky soul aims to recapture the same ecstatic, healing, and deeply grateful feelings that only music, dance, and community can create when combined. ‘Should Sleep’ embodies the unique carefree joy that comes with being on the dance floor surrounded by strangers past midnight.
In the accompanying video, directed by Moby and Mike Formanski, Moby can be seen playing various instruments with his dog companion, Bagel, by his side, while J.P. Bimeni. sings and dances amidst nature.
