Mochakk is set to return to CircoLoco Records with the dual EP, ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099.’ The first installment has just been released, with the second part following on September 6th.
‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I’ features a downtempo title track collaboration with VTSS. Known for her hard techno sound, the Polish artist delivers a refreshing shift with twinkling synths and a tempo just above 125 bpm, marking her first collaboration with Mochakk.
The EP also includes ‘The Line,’ a solo track by Mochakk that maintains a downtempo house pace with blistering snares and an irresistible synth line. This track is notable as one of Mochakk’s initial ventures into providing his own vocals, potentially marking a new creative phase. The EP concludes with ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 (Dub Mix),’ a stripped-back version of the original.
‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II,’ releasing on September 6th, opens with ‘No Boys Allowed,’ featuring Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis. His vocals blend with Mochakk’s production, kick drums, synth melody, and bassline. Next is ‘Estribeira,’ featuring Brazilian artist Artisian, with vocal samples, heavy kick drums, and a punchy bassline. The EP ends with ‘No Boys Allowed (Street Mix),’ a downtempo version with Tommy Genesis’ vocals, a bass-heavy feel, and sharp snare drums and hi-hats.
