Modern Funktion is celebrating its fifth anniversary with an extensive European tour. The underground event brand will host a series of events across cities, including London, Barcelona, Malta, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Croatia, Manchester, and Leeds.
The celebrations began earlier this year with an event at London’s The Cause featuring B.Love, Captain Wallop, DJ Perception, Dr. Dubplate, Sweely, The Trip, and Truly Madly. The tour now continues with a run of summer events across Europe, including a series of parties during OFF Sonar in Barcelona with Dr. Banana, Shanti Celeste b2b Peach, and The Ghost.
Further stops include Ibiza, where Kepler b2b Phil and Benji, Locklead, and Bullet Tooth are set to perform, as well as Defected Croatia’s final season at The Garden, with Jeremy Sylvester, LP Rhythm, and Laidlaw. The brand will also appear at events such as Eastern Electrics and Hide and Seek Festival, alongside club shows at venues including Shelter in Amsterdam.
The tour features appearances from both established names and emerging artists. Among the debutants joining the celebrations are Egyptian Lover, Fumiya Tanaka, Peach, Shanti Celeste, Gene, Dungeon Meat, Jamback, Kepler, A for Alpha, Mella Dee, and DJSweet6Teen. They are joined by Modern Funktion residents Phill de Janeiro and Benji King, Izzy, Jude Lenihan, j:me, and Mya.
Speaking about the milestone, the team shared: “Our five-year tour reflects on the hard work we’ve been working towards since day one. It feels like a true reflection of our vision, and we are extremely proud of the artists and partners we’re working with this year.
