Monegros Desert Festival has revealed the first artists confirmed for its 2026 edition, set to take place on Saturday, July 25th, in the Aragón desert near Fraga. The initial announcement includes over 80 names, marking the first step toward a final lineup that will exceed 120 artists.
The new edition continues to build on the festival’s long-running format of 22 hours of uninterrupted music, bringing together established figures in electronic music alongside newer names shaping current scenes. Artists such as Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, and Paco Osuna are among the first wave, returning to the desert as part of a program that spans multiple generations and styles.
The announcement also includes artists associated with harder and industrial-leaning sounds, including Klangkuenstler, Indira Paganotto, Fatima Hajji, Fantasm, Héctor Oaks, Adrián Mills, and Brutalismus 3000. According to the festival, this balance reflects an intention to connect its historical roots with present-day developments in global electronic music.
Speaking about the upcoming edition, festival founders Juan and Cruz Arnau state: “Each year the challenge grows, because Monegros is not just about music—it’s an experience of survival and freedom. For 2026 we have designed a lineup that respects our roots while engaging with what is happening right now in the global electronic scene. We want the desert to become a city with a life of its own for 22 hours.”
Alongside the artist announcements, the festival has outlined several stage concepts planned for 2026. Among them is OUTWORLD, a new 360º stage with a capacity of 20,000 people, which Monegros describes as an exclusive hosting worldwide. Additional formats include the return of 240 KM/H with its Face to Face concept, Unreal’s immersive staging, a renewed collaboration with Awakenings, and ARTCORE, the project led by Indira Paganotto.
