Movement Detroit 2016 Recommended Events Part 2

Detroit’s Movement Electronic Music Festival and related events will be taking place next week… which means party time in the home of techno is about to begin. We’ve chosen some some of the top events between May 27th and June 1st where you’ll find the industry’s finest doing what they do best.

Part 1:

OK COOL 2016

OK Cool! is a party gone cultural cornerstone during Movement Weekend in Detroit. Taking place on Sunday, May 29th at the world famous TV Lounge, the annual Official Movement After Party is an all night into morning soiree returning for its 4th incarnation. Dax Presents & My Baby invite you to celebrate the fountain of life with the gang back where it all began…Motown.

Paradigm Presents: No. 19 & Visionquest

Two of the top underground labels, Detroit’s own Visionquest and No.19, come together with Paradigm to bring two floors of #MotorCityMadness to Leland City Club on Sunday, May 29th.

NY’s Bespoke Music always does a great job curating their events. This time is no different as they bring Monkey Safari to spice things up alongside Sandrino, Baez, Aboudi Issa, and Ben Scott.

Drumcode Detroit

Techno master Adam Beyer will be playing b2b with Napoli’s heroe Joseph Capriati. Get ready for some techno bliss.

Who’s Afraid of Detroit 10 Year Anniversary Party

With a freshly baked released, Justin Martin will be leading things at the 10 years anniversary party of Dirtybirds’s legendary Who’s Afraid of Detroit.

The Official Movement Closing Party

Tale Of Us and Âme at the Mesonic Temple are the perfect team to Officially close out the weekend.

Repopulate Mars – Detroit

All partygoers will be transported to a dance party on Mars that will have punk funk kids shedding clothes, aliens shedding skin and cyborgs getting down to the future forward beat. Remember repopulating is hard, sweaty work, but somebody’s got to do it!

Something Different – An Official Movement Afterparty

A day party is always a treat for those who enjoy the sunny times. Something Different packs a solid lineup with Carl Craig, Dj Harvey and DJ Tennis leading the way.

Trip 2 Detroit with Nina Kraviz

We’ve enjoyed a lot of Nina’s latest festival sessions… this one should be along the same lines, techno rules!
