A new online course called MUSEEC — short for Music, Sound, Emotion, Experience and Curation — has officially launched from Ibiza, marking the first global e-learning program dedicated to music curation and sound design.
Developed by DIPEF (Association of DJs and Producers of Ibiza and Formentera), Vilnius Tech University, and Dutch consultancy Collabwith, MUSEEC is backed by the European Union through EIT Culture & Creativity. The program offers 160 hours of theory and practical learning, structured across five core modules: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Music Curation and Sound Design, Generative AI, Green Tech, and Employability and Marketing.
MUSEEC is fully online and taught in English, combining masterclasses, case studies, self-assessment tools, and real-world projects. The course culminates in a final applied project mentored by international experts. Upon completion, participants receive official certification from EIT Culture & Creativity.
The faculty features interdisciplinary professionals and representatives from organizations including Siemens, Eurecat, Universal Music Group, Sonar+D, SoundCloud, and leading universities such as the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Complutense University of Madrid.
Positioned at the intersection of music, innovation, and experience design, MUSEEC was created in response to growing demand for music-related skills in branding, AI, placemaking, and experiential marketing. The initiative is part of the Media Music Project, a research academy exploring new ways of understanding and working with music in both cultural and commercial contexts.
