Music On extended its legacy with a two-night season closing at Pacha Ibiza

Music On closed its 2025 season at Pacha Ibiza with two consecutive nights — a format that could have suggested fireworks and sentimental theatrics. Instead, Marco Carola made a different statement: two longform sets built on patience, repetition, and physical momentum, closing not with a climax but with continuity.

On Thursday, joined by Vintage Culture B2B Franky Rizardo and Ale De Tuglie B2B Calvin Clarke, the Italian techno icon opened with stripped, groove-driven selections that didn’t beg for attention — they absorbed it. No early anthems, no “big” plays to win the room. Over time, the floor slipped into a locked rhythm: the chatter dissolved, bodies moved in sustained focus, without the spike-and-drop drama typical of Ibiza finales.

With the crowd arriving primed, on Friday alongside Clonee, Ahmed Spins, and Da Vid, Carola pushed sooner: faster lift, longer stretches of pressure, tighter pacing — yet the same philosophy held. No nostalgic sing-alongs, no curtain-call theatrics, no sentimental send-offs. The statement was implicit: Music On carries its own gravity without final-night clichés.

Across both nights, Pacha Ibiza felt less like a postcard venue and more like a working club. Full capacity past 05:00, phones largely down, intent high. The room felt like believers, not brand tourists. Long-term Music On devotees anchored the floor early, joined by closing-week visitors who quickly matched the tone.

During the two nights, Marco Carola delivered what defines the residency: driving grooves, precision transitions, tech-house and house with a firm underground edge — “deeper groove with techno energy” in practice, not in slogan.

The 2025 closing made one thing unmistakable: Music On no longer trades on novelty. Marco Carola ended the season the same way he rules it — by keeping the dance floor in his grip until the music stops, without needing a “big ending” to prove its weight.
