Nic Fanciulli has remained one of the UK’s finest exports in electronic music throughout the last decade. This time he presents us with his latest remix – a rework of Jamie XX’s ‘SeeSaw’ ft. Romy, which is available exclusively on Beatport via a collaboration between his own label Saved Records and Young Turks.
Leading with echoing, percussive claps, Nic’s mix revolves around a low, rolling bassline that immediately takes things deeper and darker, embedding Romy’s distant, glazes vocals within an intricate percussive framework. Building over eight and a half pulsating minutes, it feels like the perfect record to kickstart Nic’s hectic summer schedule, and is sure to earn plenty of rotation throughout the season, and has already been named ‘The Hottest Record In The World’ by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac.
Alongside his new remix, and ahead of the release of his long-awaited debut artist album later this year, Nic also brings his solo Ibiza residency ‘We Are The Night’ to Pacha Barcelona this coming Sunday 19th June alongside Anja Schneider, Butch, D’Julz, and Pirupa
