The UK legend delivers a career-defining project nearly four decades in the making.
Nick Warren has announced the release of his debut solo album, ‘Turbulence,’ to be out on his label The Soundgarden on September 16th, 2025.
‘Turbulence,’ Warren’s debut album, is a milestone in a career spanning almost forty years. The LP channels the artist’s deep-rooted influences, from Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream to Bristol’s dub culture, experimental labels like 4AD and Factory, and a lifetime of collecting soundtracks and rare records.
“I’m so excited to let you know that my first-ever solo album, ‘Turbulence’ will be out next month on The Soundgarden. There are four collaborations on the album: Mercurio, Tripswitch, Nicolas Rada, and Mattias Herrera. The first single, ‘Turbulence’ will be released today with a fantastic remix by Boys’ Short,” he commented in a social post.
Known globally as half of Way Out West and for his acclaimed contributions to Global Underground, Balance, Renaissance, and Back to Mine, Warren is also a long-time friend of Electronic Groove and a regular on the EG Podcast series. Now, with ‘Turbulence,’ he delivers his most personal statement to date.
