German DJ and producer Nico Pusch releases the ‘Bloom’ EP, a journey of melodic progressive house written across two original tracks and two remixes by Aka Aka and Lars Moston.
‘Bloom’ kicks off with a long loopy arpeggio intro beat backed by a driving kick and bass, eventually falling into a soundtrack-like build up with a growing lead synth while potent claps and punchy percussion dramatically increase momentum until the big drop.
Aka Aka takes ‘Bloom’ into tech-house territory adding loopy percussion and hats to the mix while maintaining the original’s arpeggiated melodies and epic build-ups essence.
‘Grace’ dives into deeper waters with a more straightforward production that features melodies and build-ups that are less corny than the ones found in ‘Bloom’, while the arrangement and sounds seem much more mature.
Lars Moston delivers a quality take on ‘Grace’, emphasizing the vocal loop sample of the original and adding groovy percussion that turns contagious.
