Nicole Moudaber has released her remix of Cevin Fisher’s iconic track ‘The Freaks Come Out,’ available now on Faith. The remix blends classic house elements with modern techno sensibilities.
The remix transforms the late ’90s anthem into a journey through deep, atmospheric soundscapes. Moudaber’s distinctive touch manifests in carefully crafted layers of hypnotic rhythms and throbbing bass, while maintaining the original’s infectious spirit.
Reflecting on the project, Moudaber shares: “I fell in love with house music listening to Danny Tenaglia and Cevin’s ‘The Freaks Come Out’ was such a mega tune around that time. When I hear it, it takes me right back to the golden nights in NYC, so when they asked me to remix it, it was a no-brainer for me. It’s given me the opportunity to explore its darker edges while keeping its infectious spirit alive. This track is a celebration of late-night euphoria and the unifying power of music on the dancefloor.”
The remix arrives as Moudaber continues to dominate the electronic music landscape. From her roots in Beirut’s underground scene, she has evolved into an influential figure in global dance music. Her portfolio includes collaborations with artists such as Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Jamie Jones, Ida Engberg, Skin, Moby, and the London Community Gospel Choir.
Celebrating InTheMood’s tenth anniversary, Moudaber has two major upcoming events: a 4-hour B2B set with Chris Liebing at Electric Brixton on December 6th, and an All Night Long set at Avalon Hollywood on December 21st.
