British electronic producer Niven is back on the sound systems with the drop of his highly-anticipated new single ‘Rositsa Walks’. The release stems from his forthcoming ‘Van’ EP, which will be available to stream and purchase on March 10th via Blank Dust.
‘Rositsa Walks’ sees Niven awaken from a 5-year hiatus, and is one of four new original cuts composed with little more than a small modular synth in the back of a van as the artist traversed Europe in recent years.
“This track I wrote in Bulgaria. I’d stayed at a friend’s house here for a few months when this was written, after the pandemic and traveling, I’d started to yearn for the abandonment of heavier beats and nightclubs. I think that feeling is reflected in the music, it reflects a distant memory of a night out surrounded by tranquility a part of me yearned for an almost forgotten life listening to loud music at 4 am,” says Niven about the new single.
