Oliver Koletzki shares two songs from his ninth album, ‘Made of Wood’

The record will be made up of 12 tracks.

‘Made of Wood’ is the name of the new album by Stil Vor Talent boss Oliver Koletzki. The producer began writing the album in Tulum, Mexico, at the end of 2021 and finished it in Berlin with the collaboration of many live musicians and vocalists, who helped him bring his idea of creating music with wooden instruments to reality.

Djembes, marimbas, santoors, and duduks were some of the instruments used to give life to the sound that the producer was looking for. In his judgment, this album ‘embodies the experienced craftsman, sculpting his deeply personal sonic creations with a learned and confident hand, while experimenting with a wide range of exciting ideas and fresh textures.’

From this album, which will be released on July 16th via Stil Vor Talent, we can already hear the tracks ‘Copal’ and ‘Cryptozoology’ (in collaboration with Walter Scalzone) in the form of an EP that captures the essence of the particular sound that Koletzki wanted to convey in this material.
