Operation Oscar: A 24h Rave to change a life

A fundraiser to cover operation costs for a 6-year-old so that he may walk independently.

UK DJs Andy Price & Matt Bold will take on a 24-hour marathon back-to-back DJ set, which will be broadcasted live, from 6 PM UK, this Friday 9th., with the aim to raise funds to aid little Oscar’s life-changing operation called SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy).

Oscar Mitchell was born very prematurely and, due to complications at birth, has cerebral palsy, which means he has never walked independently. This operation could help him walk and gain the independence so many of us take for granted, but has a cost of £65,000 (roughly some 83,531US$), which is not covered by the NHS.

So, to make Oscar’s dream come true, Andy & Matt will be putting on a massive set, featuring melodic house and techno, progressive house and trance classics, Balearic beats, sunkissed treats, and classic house anthems on this 24-hour ride through some of the best underground dance music in the last 25 years. Andy & Matt met in the late 90s whilst both enjoying residencies at seminal Hull prog and trance institution lojik, which is also collaborating with the event.

You can get involved with Oscar’s operation costs here.
