Our Final Dance at The Arches – Skyline x Musika

The clubbing world had to say goodbye to another iconic venue, The Arches in Glasgow, which closed its doors on December 28th, 2025.

We couldn’t miss our chance for a final dance, so a month prior, on Saturday, November 29th, we returned for a bittersweet farewell. The night was hosted by two of Scotland’s best promoters, Musika and Skyline, who came together for their very first collaboration in Glasgow, and it was a night we’ll never forget!

We were super excited to return to Glasgow for the 12-hour event, which kicked off at the Skyline in the Radisson Red, which has hosted the very best in the progressive house scene in recent years and has reached the top of our global clubbing destinations. The day party kicked off at noon with residents Andy Newland and Alan Dobson, followed by Just Her, who played the sold-out event during the stunning sunset. The energy was high as another one of Skyline’s favorites, Miss Melera, returned to close out the first portion of the night. She played a gorgeous set that had us jumping, supercharging us for the next half of the evening.

We quickly refreshed and drove into the heart of Glasgow, only 15 min away to one of Glasgow’s original underground havens that rose to fame decades ago. It first opened its doors in 1991, and over the years, it has hosted legends like Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, and Anthony Pappa, just to name a few. It closed in 2015, but nearly ten years later, the venue opened once again under the name Platform, where we were lucky to see Sasha & Digweed in October of last year.

Upon entering the venue, you go downstairs and walk through a labyrinth of arches where you can feel the history around you. Once we found arch four, where the party was, and opened up the black curtains that were separating the bar area from the dance floor, we were welcomed to a packed dance floor with Khen & Tim Green going back to back. A sea of hands were in the air, and ravers of all ages were dancing like there was no tomorrow. That is the energy of Glasgow that always pulls us back.

It was then time for the long-awaited return of one of the UK’s finest, Lee Burridge, who hadn’t played in the city in over two decades! After 40 years of DJing, Lee is as passionate as ever, and his track selection was on point. He crossed genres and generations with tracks like ‘Clivilles & Cole – A Deeper Love’ and a killer remix of La Roux’s ‘In For the Kill’ which had the crowd going wild!

Closing out the night was another Skyline debut, Yotto! Since he was signed to Anjunadeep in 2015, he has released countless top releases on the label like ‘Another Riff For the Good’ which went down perfectly, along with so many others that made us fall in love with him all over again, like a banging club remix of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ that had us singing like it was karaoke hour!

This was a night we didn’t want to end. The energy was high, and it was only midnight, but with strict regulations on the venue, we had to go. It was amazing to see the new generation of clubbers along with those who used to frequent The Arches back in the day. It will be extremely sad to see another iconic venue close its doors. Despite the petitions, the venue will go ahead and become a bowling alley, deep sigh…

A big thanks to Derek Martin (Musika) and Graham Chalmers (Skyline), whose friendship and shared passion for music made this event happen. Their story is proof of how working together can bring so many people unforgettable memories and can help keep the scene alive, even at its most challenging times.

We can’t wait to return to Glasgow for Skyline on February 15th, 2026, for another packed line-up including one of Argentina’s fastest rising stars, Ezequial Arias, who is going to play a 6-hour set!

Check out the party and stay packages here.  See you on the dancefloor!
