It will be the first time in 52 years that the two cherry club closes its doors on the island.

Through a video shared on their social networks, Pacha Ibiza announced that it will not open its doors this summer. The announcement was made after the Balearic government indicated that they would not allow nightclubs with a capacity of more than 300 people to open.

‘It was a painful and complicated decision that has been made following the guidelines of the public administration and the Balearic Government. It is certainly not the best news for the island of Ibiza and for tourism, but at Grupo Pacha, we will follow the recommendations and guidelines of the administration in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of employees, suppliers, and customers’ said Nick McCabe, CEO of Grupo Pacha, in a note published via Noudiari.es.

The club will remain closed but the other two venues of the group, Lio Ibiza and Destino Ibiza, will work during this season following all the hygienic-sanitary measures suggested by the local authorities.
