Italian producer Raffaele Martirani, known as Panoram continues to resonate with listeners for its evocative sound and emotional depth. One of his recent singles, ‘What it Means’, released through Wandering Eye, blends elements of IDM, classical minimalism, and library music into an atmospheric experience
‘What it Means’ features intricate arpeggios floating through filtered layers, accompanied by deliberately mundane vocal samples that create an intriguing cognitive dissonance with the underlying musical elements.
In discussing the creative process, Panoram revealed that he developed the track while working in a Brooklyn rehearsal space. His goal was to craft an ambiguous atmosphere where plain-spoken vocals follow the listener throughout, creating a deliberate contrast between the musical components and spoken elements.
