After four years of curating the RAWMoments parties, Paolo Rocco showcases his tastemaking abilities by leading a new label out of hometown Montreal inspired by the dubby, housey, bumpy grooves he and his fellow partners Lessi S. & Pijynman have been championing during the events.
The first release has Paolo and Pijynman team up for the originals while New York City’s Alix Alvarez and Berlin’s Diego Krause offer remixes to complete this 12″. The record, which has already been given props from the likes of Mixmag and XLR8R, has seen big support from the FUSE London family among other big hitters.
After sculpting his sound for nearly a decade, the RAWMoments label launch marks the start of a new era for Montreal producer Paolo Rocco. In addition to the upcoming outing on their own imprint, Paolo and co. have a double vinyl also titled ‘RAWMoments’ on the way via Brawther’s Courtesy Of Balance label later this year, while him will also feature on a forthcoming VA from Cinthie’s Beste Freunde (Beste Modus).
The RAWMoments crew kickstart the label launch December 8th and 9th with events at Ottawa’s City At Night then the following evening in Montreal at Lambi; both with special guest Stassy (founder of Taverna Tracks, Watergate Berlin resident).
