Patrick Topping returns with ‘4 For The Floor’ — a dynamic two-part EP released on his own Trick imprint. This marks his first extended play since ‘Planet Session’ in 2021.
The EP’s first chapter opens with ‘Bonfire’, a compelling collaboration featuring Dark Dhalia’s vocals layered over intricate drum patterns and rich synthetic textures. Following suit, ‘Vogue’ emerges as a collaboration with Franky, delivering a blend of modern house elements and memorable pop vocals, underpinned by a robust bassline.
“After a few years of singles, it feels good to release an EP again! Four different styles of dance floor tracks, each with a different unreal vocalist. I’m so excited to show this range of sounds, all within one release,” shares Topping. “I think it’s a good representation of how I DJ at the moment, going from vocal Tech House to upbeat 80s-influenced synth melodies, to dark melodic tech house to the fastest track I’ve put out yet at 145 BPM, touching on the hard techno I like to dip into.”
The EP’s first chapter was released on November 29th, 2024, and the second installment is set to be released on December 13th, 2024.
