Peace Boat, an international NGO advocating for peace and sustainability, will dock in Miami for the first time. With Special Consultative Status with the United Nations, the boat promotes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since 2016, their ship has displayed the SDGs logo and visits approximately 100 countries annually.
On September 26th, 2023, Peace Boat will host a networking event in Miami. The event will bring together ocean experts, young entrepreneurs in the field of Blue Economy, artists, musicians, and sustainability partners.
In collaboration with the Seaworthy Collective and other ocean advocates, the event will showcase leaders and experts pioneering sustainable ocean solutions. It will also highlight the work of young entrepreneurs driving positive change. The Seaworthy Collective is a Miami-based non-profit dedicated to making BlueTech accessible and inclusive. They empower Sea Change Makers globally, driving ocean innovation.
This special event during Climate Week 2023 aims to raise awareness and foster partnerships for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on ocean and climate action.
The event will provide a platform for dialogue, networking, and support for local community development. Best practices for responsible ocean stewardship and achieving the SDGs will be shared. Additionally, Peace Boat will showcase the Ecoship, the world’s most environmentally sustainable passenger ship, powered by solar and wind energy.
