The return of HYTE to the stunning industrial surroundings of the Shedhalle at Funkhaus Berlin demonstrated once again why it ranks among Europe’s most anticipated New Years Eve events, and this time, with its most powerful installation to date.

The sold out HYTE NYE Berlin 2019 promised to be the most memorable event to date from the Berlin-based promoters, and their stock-in-trade 24-hour marathon delivered in every sense.

It was a New Years Eve throwdown that drew enthusiastic partygoers from more than 35 countries across the world. The HYTE NYE formula was deployed to thunderous effect: a stunning industrial setting; exceptional sound and production (including the dazzling signature laser cage); plus a stellar cast of the underground elite providing a soundtrack that left the crowd in awe.

The cast of DJs carefully curated by the HYTE team to provide the evening’s soundtrack delivered quality music in spades, with an impromptu back-to-back performance from Loco Dice and Marco Carola proving a definite highlight. A surplus of underground star power came thick and fast from polished performers like Charlotte de Witte, Maceo Plex and Helena Hauff, while revered HYTE regulars like Richie Hawtin and Pan-Pot made a welcome return.

An essential part of the HYTE experience is seasoned techno icons DJing alongside ascending talent, and on NYE, there was an extra-special showcase in the form of a second room curated by none other than Ricardo Villalobos, who assembled a stellar supporting cast including Sonja Moonear, Edward and Dandy Jack. Overall, the artists who assembled at HYTE NYE Berlin represented the most comprehensive lineup ever hosted at the annual event.
