Movement Festival 2024 brought the heart of techno back to Detroit, capturing the essence of a city that thrives on rhythm and innovation. This year’s festival was a testament to the enduring spirit of electronic music, featuring a blend of legendary artists and emerging talents. Despite some weather challenges, the festival’s electric atmosphere remained unshaken as attendees from around the globe gathered to celebrate the beats that make Detroit a pivotal hub for electronic music.

As usual during US’s Memorial weekend, a series of special guests brought the beats to Hart Plaza including names such Fatboy Slim,  Goldie (Live Band), Richie Hawtin, James Blake (DJ Set), Floating Points, Kevin Saunderson b2b Idris Elba, Stacey Pullen, Delano Smith, Honey Dijon, Gorgon City, I Hate Models, Sama’ Abdulhadi, LP Giobbi, Indira Paganotto, Masters At Work, Skream, DJ Minx, 999999999, Hate Models, VTSS, Jaguar, Floating Points, Sama’ Abdulhadi, DJ Tennis back-to-back Gerd Janson, LTJ Bukem, Horse Meat Disco, Seth Troxler, Mount Kimbie,  among many others.

Photographer Adam Tirado was on the ground, capturing for EG the vibrant moments and dynamic performances that defined Movement 2024.
