Pioneer DJ presents new studio & DJ monitors

The new line comes in 5, 7, and 8-inch cones.

Music industry giant Pioneer DJ has introduced the VM range, a new series of near-field studio and DJ monitors.

The VM comes in 3 sizes: 5, 7, and 8-inch cones, with all three implementing DSP technology to ‘tune’ the speakers to their surroundings. Designed to be used both as DJ & studio monitors, the speaker can have more of a ‘hyped’ sound when DJing, and a flat response when producing. There are 16 total settings across both speakers, with four options on each, changed using the indented rotary on the back of each speaker.

Pioneer has also implemented a ‘Vortex Bass Accelerator’, a bass port round back with ridges to evenly distribute any bass vibrations, and all speakers use Aramid fiber cones. Also, the units feature a brand new design, showcasing their ‘Constant Directivity Horn’ that allows for a wider sound stage and more even distribution of high and mid frequencies. The five-inch speakers roll down to 40Hz, while the sevens to 37Hz and the eights to 34Hz.
