This summer, Point Blank partnered with IMS College Malta as official education partner to lead the opening day of artist and instructor-led masterclasses. Held over two days, this event brought together a range of music industry institutions, speakers and artists to provide panels, keynotes and masterclasses, as well as holding networking events and DJ performances from the likes of Sven Väth, Richy Ahmed and Todd Terry in the evenings.
As well as masterclasses from Creative Director JC Concato, DJ/Producer Uner and a Jamiroquai deconstruction from Course Developer Ski Oakenfull, Point Blank’s Carly Hordern sat down with French producer Agoria to discuss music production and composition for film. In the video, the artist discusses breaking into the film industry and shares his experience in composing for motion picture. He talks about how he approaches working with directors, working to a brief and his own creative processes before showing an example of some of his work, sharing an insight into his workflow. Make sure you subscribe to Point Blank’s YouTube channel to keep updated with the future artist masterclasses and tutorials.
