Dublin-based duo PolyGlove has shared the drop of its ‘Good Face’ EP. The new record is already available to stream and purchase via the band’s own Bandcamp page.
Portraying a sci-fi dystopia, the ‘Good Face’ EP finds the artists channeling a more aggressive and grittier sound as they link up once again with mixing engineer Rían Trench (Leo Drezden, Solar Bears, Panikatax). Showcasing a canonic curve throughout, ‘Good Face’ “explores the darker side of these future visions, eventually finding its way back to a brighter, more optimistic past, a time before the world became so self-aware”.
“In contrast to some of our recent releases our focus was for a brighter sonic palate, centering production around analog tape delays and endless reverbs, prioritising our poly synths, keeping atmosphere at the focal point and opening up the sound for a richer melodic experience,” explain PolyGlove about the new EP.
