The duo behind PRAANA describe their project as “the original creative power, the universal sea of energy that infuses and vitalizes all matter.” After two years spent balancing studio sessions with silent retreats and family life, they return with ‘We Both Know It’, the third single from their upcoming album ‘Insight Out’, due in early 2026.

Built around vocalist r&som’s intimate delivery, the new cut extends PRAANA’s melodic, analog-leaning sound while spotlighting the unspoken space that sits between recognition and release. It follows 2023’s full-length ‘Supernal Dawn’, a record the artists now see as their awakening chapter. Where that album announced their arrival, ‘Insight Out’ promises embodiment—tracks that emerge from presence rather than pursuit, favouring restraint, spaciousness, and soul over excess.
In this conversation, PRAANA open up about vulnerability, creative rituals, and the challenge of holding authenticity in a fast-moving industry.
EG: Hi, guys! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been
PRAANA: Thank you so much—it’s a joy to connect. We’ve been immersed in the unfolding of this new body of work. Between sessions, silent retreats, family life, and integrating new creative rituals, it’s been a beautiful balance of stillness and movement.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the release of your new single, ‘We Both Know It’! You must be stoked to have this one out and about. What has the initial reception been like so far?
PRAANA: Thank you—it means a lot. The response has been incredibly heart-warming. ‘We Both Know It’ is a vulnerable track for us. It touches on subtle truths that live between the lines, and we’ve seen people really resonate with that space. Whether through messages, mixes, or movement, the track seems to be finding its place in people’s lives—and that’s all we could ask for.
EG: So, what can your fans come to find on ‘We Both Know It’? Is there a concept or emotional trigger driving this one?
PRAANA: This one is about the subtle knowing—the quiet moment when two people recognize a truth they’re both circling but not necessarily speaking. Musically, we wanted the track to feel both weightless and grounded, as if it floats within that unspoken emotional frequency. It’s the intersection of memory, acceptance, and the soft ache of letting go.
EG: ‘We Both Know It’ sees you linking up with r&som. How did the decision to work together come about? What was that process like? How did you guys approach this one?
PRAANA: We’d been aware of r&som’s work for a while—they have this way of tapping into deeply emotive textures that feel both cinematic and personal. This track emerged naturally after connecting through mutual respect. The vocal came through as a sketch that immediately spoke to us, and we built the instrumental world around it—carefully, intentionally, like placing brushstrokes around a central flame. The process was collaborative but also intuitive. Sometimes it’s less about “working on a song” and more about allowing the essence of it to emerge.

EG: And ‘We Both Know It’ is the third single to stem from your incoming LP, ‘Insight Out’. What can we expect from the album as a whole? How did the name ‘Insight Out’ come about?
PRAANA: ‘Insight Out’ is a journey through inner landscapes—a dissolving inward and a flowering outward. The name reflects a simple but powerful truth: when we truly go within, what comes out is clarity and radiance. The album follows that arc: remembering who we are, purifying what we are not, then expressing the luminous essence. Sonically, it’s melodic, analog, spacious—and each track is intentionally placed to guide that unfolding.
EG: Can we expect more singles dropping before the record’s full release? Is there anything else you can anticipate about ‘Insight Out’?
PRAANA: Yes, there will be more singles leading into the full album. We’re pacing toward six in total before the LP arrives. The next few tracks move deeper into inner terrain—they lean into texture, tension, and resolution in new ways. It’s the part of the journey where stillness begins to stir with new life.
EG: It’s been almost two years since the drop of ‘Supernal Dawn’, your last full studio record. In which ways have you grown since then? How is ‘Insight Out’ different from ‘Supernal Dawn’
PRAANA: ‘Supernal Dawn’ was the awakening. ‘Insight Out’ is the embodiment. In those two years we’ve gone through our own initiations. There’s been a shift from trying to craft tracks to letting them emerge from presence. We’ve deepened into analog sound design, but also into the art of restraint—more silence, more space between notes, more devotion to what the track wants to become. There’s more honesty, more reverence. Less ego. More soul.
EG: Now, stepping outside the studio… Given your experience, what are some of the biggest challenges artists will face in the near future?
PRAANA: One challenge is the pace of consumption. We’re in a world that values speed, volume, and instant output, but true artistry often requires silence, slowness, and incubation. Holding space for authenticity within that current is no small thing. The other is remembering why we create. When algorithms dictate visibility, it’s easy to forget that music is a transmission, not a transaction. Staying rooted in purpose, while adapting with integrity, is the path forward.

EG: What’s next for PRAANA? What milestones are you looking forward to now? Where can your fans catch you next? Any tours planned?
PRAANA: We’re continuing to unfold ‘Insight Out’ through the rest of the year. We’ve started integrating some of the album material into our live sets, which has been electric. Tour dates are in motion, with a mix of club shows and deeper listening experiences. We’re also developing PRAANA SHAKTI—a ceremonial live format that blends modular synths, mantra, and sound healing for more immersive environments. The goal is to bring presence into every performance, whether that’s under strobe lights or beneath the stars.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, guys! We wish you all the best in the future. Take care!
PRAANA: Thank you. Deep gratitude for the space and thoughtful questions. Wishing you all peace and inspiration.
