A profound insight into ethnic sounds.
Israeli duo Red Axes just revealed their latest project, a series titled ‘Trips’. The multimedia venture combines music, film and traveling across the globe in pursuit of “extraordinary” collaborations.
Their mission is“to record local musicians, indigenous instruments and present workshops for youth music schools.”
The first delivery takes place in Ethiopia and Ivory Coast and the result was a three-track EP called ‘In Africa’, where they experiment with local instruments inviting Yakomin, a seven-piece band, and students from the Insaac Music School in Abidjan.
‘In Africa’ will be out next August on !K7 Records. The documentary premiere date has not been revealed yet. Watch the teaser below.
