Long-standing FUSE mainstay Rich NxT makes a long-awaited return to Hot Creations with his ‘Vibewise’ EP. The three-tracker marks his debut solo release on the label, having featured as remixer on the imprint previously. As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich NxT played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. Elsewhere, the DJ / producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints, NxT Records and What NxT.
To celebrate the release of his ‘Vibewise’ EP on Hot Creations, Rich NxT shares with us 10 of his favorite tunes.
1. A/B Sides – Kpx
“Another brilliant workout from the mysterious A/B Sides who continue to provide an intricate and interesting variety of music through the band camp outlet.”
2. Okain – Tinker
“I have always been a massive fan of Okain’s output. Always breaking some new ground or sounds, his versatile beat land here on the hot PIV Records with a rangy baseline and swirling melodies.”
3. Ciphr – White Lightning (Monika Ross Remix)
“This is a wonderful workout of a track that lurches between breaks, glitch, and driving minimal. Really unpredictable yet still so effective on the dancefloor.”
4. Traumer – Diplo
“Such a go-to track for any occasion. The infectious baseline led groove doesn’t let up, becoming more and more driving as the track progresses.”
5. Baba Ali – Cog in the wheel (ANOTR Edit)
“This is a really amazing piece of music. Takes a lovely sample and builds the perfect accompaniment to set off any party in true style!”
6. Jamahr – Time Walk
“Another real hypnotic slow-burner that when you play it loud just grinds on and builds up a real head of steam, snowballing its way through 7 mins of goodness.”
7. Parsec – What you Know (De La Swing Remix)
“Groove-led house which goes down just as well at night as it does in the afters.”
8. Stephan Bazbaz – Key To Success (Casey Spillman Remix)
“This is monster of a remix from Casey, taking all the right elements from the original and turning it into a real juggernaut, powering through the drops and changes with just the right amount of swagger in the groove.”
“It’s one of the longest tracks I have made, if not THE longest, and I was really happy that all the way through it kept developing and making new twists and turns.”
10. Fabe – 161
“Such a constant stream of great music flows from Fabe and the Salty Nuts label. This one has a great uplifting melody alongside skippy drums and percussion giving way to a simply modulated synth line. Simple and effective!”
