Robert Hood shows his social activism on ‘The Struggle’

He also announced new tracks with his alternate project Floorplan.

On his new solo work, Detroit-born DJ and producer Robert Hood raise his voice as he captures the viral speech that activist Tamika Mallory gave after the recent murder of George Floyd included in the song entitled ‘The Struggle’. The track will be released on a three-track EP via the M-Plant label.

This material has the aforementioned track on Side A, while on Side B it features two new cuts by Floorplan, Robert’s musical project with his daughter Lyric Hood. This last side contains two mixes of the track called ‘Save The Children’, featuring the voice of comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory.

This is the first release of the year for Robert Hood on his own, and also for Floorplan. The EP will be available on August 14th and you can see the tracklist below.
