‘Remember When We Were Thriving’ arrives August 21st via Loki Recordings.

Russian Linesman has released ‘Why Did You Tell Me You Loved Me’ and ‘Errata’, a double A-side introducing his forthcoming album, ‘Remember When We Were Thriving’, on Loki Recordings.
‘Why Did You Tell Me You Loved Me’ opens with a phased melodic riff before layers of synthesizers, panned percussion, and breakbeats enter the arrangement. Its gradual deceleration reinforces the track’s focus on tension and emotional storytelling.
‘Errata’ takes a contrasting direction through dreamy keyboards and spacious electronic textures. Later in the track, the arrangement shifts toward a computerized bass sound and glitched hi-hats.
The Nottingham-based producer, whose real name is Jamie Boyer, began as an acoustic singer-songwriter before adopting the Russian Linesman identity in 2006. His production process incorporates captured fragments of vocals, guitars, and pianos within electronic arrangements.
The two tracks precede the 14-track ‘Remember When We Were Thriving’, scheduled for release on August 21st, 2026.
