Brazilian DJ and producer Sallu returns with ‘Relaxa’, his latest single on Cactunes Records. The track captures the essence of his sound, a seamless fusion of organic percussion, native vocals — signed by Flávia Coelho and LUIZA — and melodic synths, designed to move both body and mind.
“I wanted to create something that feels like the Brazilian summer — warm, soulful, and full of groove. The organic drums bring lightness, while the melodic synths add that extra punch,” says Sallu.
Known for his performances at Universo Paralello, Burning Man Brasil (Tropical Burn), and Café de La Musique, as well as for curating the iconic Pista Pirata stage at Universo Paralello, Sallu has spent over a decade shaping a sound that blends Brazilian rhythm with global house and indie dance sensibilities.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Bontan, Adam Ten, and Arodes, Sallu’s new phase emphasizes a more personal sonic identity — one that’s rooted in groove yet emotionally dynamic. ‘Relaxa’ marks the continuation of this evolution, signaling a deeper commitment to storytelling through sound.
To celebrate the release, Sallu will headline a Cactunes Records showcase at Crema Club, featuring a special set themed around the new single.
