His breakthrough track ‘Yes B!tch’ dominated the 2024 charts and shaped modern dance music, earning support from industry icons Solomun, Carl Cox, and Swedish House Mafia. With releases on renowned labels like 1605 and Experts Only, Wolfe exemplifies how creativity can thrive under pressure – consistently delivering Beatport hits while managing tours and parenthood.
His journey dispels the myth that artists must choose between corporate stability and creative pursuits, offering a compelling example of modern work-life integration.
EG sat down with Sam Wolfe to discuss his latest releases and future projects.
EG: Hi Sam! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been? Where are you right now?
Sam Wolfe: Thanks for having me. I’m at home in Atlanta, in the studio – taking a break between diaper changes and bottle feeds, and getting ready to go on tour.
EG: So, first of all, congratulations on what was an incredible 2024 for you! What are some of your thoughts now as 2025 unfolds?
Sam Wolfe: Thanks, I appreciate that. 2023 was my first real year touring the world – just grinding and playing as much as possible. But I knew that to level up in 2024, I had to crack the code on music and land my first real “hit.” Luckily, we did that with ‘Yes B!tch’, thanks to John Summit, Experts Only, and the dance music titans – like Solomun, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Dom Dolla, Fisher and Swedish House Mafia – who played the track in their sets. A special shoutout to my manager on this record and agent, Valdano, who fought hard to get this track signed and push it to #1. As 2025 unfolds, I just want to keep building on that momentum and continue making new connections in the scene.
EG: Obviously, one of the most impressive things is your commitment and dedication, which has seen you working full-time as an executive at a company leading the sales department while also DJing and producing. How have you managed to find the right balance? Has creativity been stifled at any point? (If so, how did you cope with that)
Sam Wolfe: That’s a great question. I’m lucky that I’ve been in sales for over a decade and have built a strong team that helps take some of the load off. Honestly, I can handle most of my work from my phone, answering emails whenever I need to. Some of my most productive moments are actually on flights with WiFi – traveling to a gig with nothing to do but catch up on emails.
As for creativity, I feel like it’s the opposite for me. The structure of my sales job actually makes music production feel like an outlet – a way to unplug and have fun. When I hit the studio, it’s my time to unwind.
EG: 2024 also saw the birth of your son Roman. Congratulations. How has your outlook on your career and your relationship with music been impacted since his birth?
Sam Wolfe: Thank you. It’s an incredible feeling. I’m sure any parent will get this, but I never imagined one thing could change everything so fast. People tell you it all changes, but you don’t truly understand until it happens. Now, even the simplest things – his smile, a burp, or even a diaper change – feel like proud dad moments. I love that kid so much, and there’s nothing better than just hanging out with this little human you created.
When it comes to music, I definitely appreciate my studio time more because it’s so limited now. But in a way, that’s made me more efficient – I don’t waste time when I sit down to work.

EG: And not only that, but just a few months ago, you also released the collaborative single, ‘Yes B!tch’, which has become your biggest release to date. What are some of your thoughts now that’s been out for some time? Were you expecting for ‘Yes B!tch’ to do so well?
Sam Wolfe: We had a feeling early on that Rome had given us something special. When we played the first demo, it just had this energy that stood out. I think what makes it unique is its simplicity – it’s such a straightforward idea, yet no one had really done it before. No one had stamped ‘Yes B!tch’ as a phrase in a track like we just did.
It captures the spirit of 2024 and this era. I don’t think a song like this would have worked in the ’90s or early 2000s, but right now, that phrase resonates with so many different people across the globe. And that’s what most music creators strive for – to connect with as many people as possible.
Of course, there’s always a way to do that without “selling out,” and I think we managed to strike that balance. Rome’s delivery makes it cool, and the beat is tough. My kick and bass, mixed with the growls and stabs, give it that edge and bite sealing the deal. It’s a track that DJs across all styles were willing to rinse in their sets, which is the ultimate win.
EG: Now you’re embarking on your biggest world tour to date, starting off in February with Australia, New Zealand and followed by phase 1 of your North America tour run, while also continuing to work full time. What are you expecting from this experience? Is there a team behind you helping you out through all of this?
Sam Wolfe: Yeah, on the work side, I’m used to balancing both. In 2023, I played 62 shows while still handling sales, sometimes sending emails in the middle of the night because I was in Asia or India. So that part isn’t new for me.
On the music front, I have my great agent Valdano, and we’re in talks with more great managers who are joining our team. For content, we’ll find a videographer in each city, build that relationship, and then work with them or an editor back home to put everything together post-show. If you’re a great videographer, reach out.
As for expectations, I just want to keep putting on memorable shows for the people who come out. A lot of these cities I’ve played before, so I want to make sure that fans and friends who see me again get a fresh experience with new music and a performance that goes beyond their expectations. A Sam Wolfe show is really a curation of what I’m feeling is fresh in that very moment, whether it’s my own productions or tracks from others. I just want people to have as much fun as I’m having and feed off that energy.
EG: Let’s move onto a hot topic… How do you feel about the rise of AI implementation in music? What’s your relationship with that like? Have you used AI in recent releases?
Sam Wolfe: To be honest, I don’t think about it too much. There will probably be a point where AI-generated music floods the market once it gets really advanced, but I still think there will be a noticeable difference between AI-produced and human-made music – kind of like the difference between analog gear and VSTs.
I believe human-produced music will always have a certain warmth, a feel within the imperfections, that AI won’t quite capture for a while. That edge will keep it fresh and ahead of what AI can do, at least for now.
EG: And how do you feel about the current state of the scene? Is social media too closely related to one’s ascension in this industry? What’s your personal relationship with social media like? Are we caring about the wrong things?
Sam Wolfe: It just is what it is. Social media gives people a platform to tell their story and share their journey. The way I see it, it’s a chance to show who I am – a pretty normal guy from Atlanta, just working hard to chase my dreams.
I try to stay focused on my own path and not get distracted by watching others, and I’d say the same to anyone reading this. It’s easy to feel discouraged when you compare yourself to what you see online, but at the end of the day, the music comes first.
Social media can feel overwhelming, so prioritize making great music. Once your tracks are strong enough to get support from the artists and labels you admire, then it makes sense to dial in a social media strategy. Without good music, worrying about social media is a pretty moot point.

EG: Finally, what can we expect from Sam Wolfe in the next few months? Where can your fans catch you next?
Sam Wolfe: We’re kicking things off in New Zealand and Australia, then all over North America. Kicking the USA date in New York City with a special all-night-long B2B with my friend Charles D – we’re going for five hours straight for the first time. I think it’s going to be pretty dope. We’ve been sending each other music, and we’re pretty aligned on where we see techno and what sounds fresh right now.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Sam! We wish you all the best for the future. Take care!
Sam Wolfe: Thanks guys, I enjoyed it. Wishing you all the best.
