German duo Schrotthagen continue their ascent with the release of their latest single ‘Blütezeit’, a cinematic techno cut that blends sweeping orchestration with pulsing electronic energy. The track is the latest preview of their upcoming debut album ‘Nostalgie und Traurigkeit’, a conceptual work exploring themes of pain, longing, and the fragility of time.

‘Blütezeit’ (German for “blooming time”) captures a delicate tension between nostalgia and euphoria, pairing trance-driven melodies with orchestral textures. It’s a lush, emotionally charged composition that encapsulates Schrotthagen’s “cinematic techno” sound.

Schrotthagen brings together producer Giovanni Berg (28) and film composer Dieter Schleip (62). They first connected on a film project when Berg discovered Schleip working on a techno track for a club scene. This collaboration merges Schleip’s orchestral expertise with Berg’s electronic music background, leading to performances at major venues including Ultra Music Festival, Newspeak (Montreal), and Elsewhere (NYC).
