Sébastien Tellier returns with his latest full-length studio album, ‘Kiss The Beast’, released via Because Music—a genre-defying mosaic of pop, electronic, and cinematic influences. The record follows a string of singles and features guest appearances by Kid Cudi, Slayyyter, and Nile Rodgers.
‘Kiss The Beast’ includes recent singles such as ‘Refresh’, ‘Naïf de Coeur’, and ‘Thrill of the Night’ featuring Slayyyter and Nile Rodgers. This week’s final preview came via ‘Amnesia’, a dreamlike collaboration with Kid Cudi. The track builds on their mutual admiration, with Cudi having previously sampled Tellier’s ‘Roche’ on his song ‘CHUNKY’.
“It is a song in which the boundary between love and dependence becomes blurred,” says Tellier. “‘Amnesia’ becomes a refuge and a prison… I invited Kid Cudi because he is an artist with the perfect raw melancholy to express the duality between love and dependence.”
The album features contributions from Oscar Holter (The Weeknd, Katy Perry), SebastiAn (Frank Ocean), Victor Le Masne, and Daniel Stricker, with string arrangements by Owen Pallett. Across 12 tracks, Tellier merges melancholy ballads with electronic flourishes and orchestral pop, blurring the line between theatrical introspection and melodic experimentation.
Following the release, Tellier will embark on a sold-out tour across France and Europe, including dates at Paris’s L’Olympia and London’s KOKO, plus a summer performance at We Love Green Festival on June 5th.
