Serato has unveiled DJ Pro 4.0, a major update to its flagship DJ software. The new version introduces the most significant changes to the platform’s library interface to date.
Among the key upgrades are advanced crate search and sorting tools, a customizable track rating column, and a color-coded system designed to improve organization. Users can also create shortcuts to their most-used crates and mix local and streaming tracks within a single crate — a first for the platform.
The release follows Serato’s last update, DJ Pro 3.3.2, which dropped in May 2025. DJ Pro 3.0 launched in 2023, the same year Serato was acquired by AlphaTheta, parent company of Pioneer DJ. In 2024, the company also celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special edition of its Scratch Live Control Vinyl.
Both Serato DJ Pro 4.0 and DJ Lite 4.0 are now available in public beta. Learn more and download the update here.
