Hot Piroski label boss, Robin 12Tree, reveals a set of classy new sun-kissed grooves ripe for summer season on his aptly titled ‘In The Sun’ EP’. The title track is a sublime Nu Disco affair, armed with a retro soul-drenched vocal hook that pirouettes around a funky deep and discofied groove. On the flip, there are 2 blissful downtempo gems; ‘Magic Dust’, drizzled with mellow vocals and dreamy synthscapes and a popping bass hook; and ‘Guitar Solaar’, which is centred around a lush guitar hook, backed with emotive strings and ethereal vocals; both primed for the pool lounging crew and magical sunset moments.

Robin 12Tree runs the Hot Piroski record label from 12Tree studios based in Barcelona. The first release on the label ‘Hot Piroski Sampler 1’ was a mix of Afro classic reworks and a deep disco track featuring a young Señor Wonder. This put the label on the map and featured on the Radio 1 Essential mix and featured in Juno’s ‘Best Of Year Disco Edit’s’ track list. ‘Lazers’, the first of a 4 EP series released in Feb 2019, gained plays worldwide from the likes of Pete Herbert, Justin Rushmore, Ursula 1000 and Will at Electric Pickle, among many. Robin is a founder member of The Backstage Sluts and one half of FingerLickin’ Electro act ‘SLYDE’ and has mixed records with Stanton Warriors, Jose Padilla, Pete Herbert, Richard Fearless, Visage, Keith Flint, Payfone Disco and many more. He is currently working with long-time collaborator Phil Mison, having co-produced his last 4 albums, and he is also the other half of Balearic hipsters ‘Bubble Club’ along with Dan Keeling, who released several EP’s on International Feel. As a DJ Robin has graced the decks of Fabric, Secret Garden, Ministry Of Sound, Bugged Out, UK tour support DJ for The Prodigy and he’s DJ’d at festivals in Australia, USA, China, South America and all over Europe.
