Inspired by katanuki, a candy board cut-out game of skill popular at Japanese festivals, ÅNDfØLK taps into their childlike belief in the magic of music. Making bold choices through the use of syncopated hand pan/shaker -combo, vocal samples out of this world, and – wait for it – Jeff Beck-esque riffs on a Fender Stratocaster, they have crafted a tribal, late summer groove so deep and meditative one can have it on repeat for hours.
