Carloh brings a dose of Andean soul to Rebellion with ‘Despierta’ EP
Carloh makes his debut on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion with ‘Despierta’, a striking two-track EP set for release on 22nd August 2025.
Born in Sangolquí, Ecuador, the DJ/producer is widely regarded as one of South America’s key players in the global expansion of house music. With releases on iconic labels such as Desolat, Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and Serán Bendecidos, Carloh has built an international reputation for his blend of percussive rhythms and Andean textures, earning both widespread support and chart success.
‘Despierta’ is an extension of that sound — a bold two-tracker rooted in Ecuadorian spirit, tribal groove, and modern dancefloor energy. The EP fuses folkloric roots with forward-thinking club dynamics, carried by hypnotic vocals, driving percussion, and a deep spiritual undertone. It reflects Carloh’s connection to ancestral culture, channeled through a contemporary house lens.
